Beenleigh Road level crossing upgrade

We are removing the level crossing at Beenleigh Road, Kuraby and replacing it with a road-over-rail bridge.

Once completed the new road connections will link to the upgraded Kuraby station and park ‘n’ ride, as well as to existing community facilities such as Wally Tate Park and Kuraby Mosque via Jacob Lane.

Pedestrian connections will also be provided to allow people to safely walk and ride along this section of Beenleigh Road and over the rail corridor.

Current status

We are currently reviewing your feedback from the community engagement we held between November and December 2023 with findings to be released in early 2024.

The procurement process began in late 2023 and we expect to appoint contractors in late 2024, subject to government approvals.

Construction timeframes will be confirmed once contractors have been appointed.
